Virtual Reality (VR) with Augmented Reality (AR) is an innovative, evidence-based therapy tool that enhances traditional therapy approaches. VR therapy, grounded in cognitive and therapeutic frameworks, boosts engagement and skill development, offering adaptable immersive environments to meet individual goals and need

  • Step 2 – Get your VR headset: After the initial assessment, if we are the best service for your therapy goals, you will receive your XRHealth VR headset

XRHealth is a telehealth and VR clinic offering physiotherapy, psychology, and occupational therapy support for children, adolescents, and adults. You will be matched with an AHPRA-registered clinician based on a few factors like their specialty and availability. Our clinicians are enthusiastic about using VR therapy along with traditional therapy approaches to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients.

XRHealth’s VR headset is listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG; 335051, 335032, 335033), with specifically designed XRHealth therapeutic applications created and updated by our in-house product and development team, ensuring our VR headset is safe for patients, including alignment with NDIS funding criteria. Our VR headset is locked to our applications with no ability to access gaming applications (e.g., Roblox, Minecraft).

XRHealth is fully remote clinic, using telehealth and VR with Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance traditional therapy. It offers a personalised, evidence-based approach that makes therapy more engaging. VR therapy, based on cognitive and therapeutic principles, helps boost skills and engagement, with adaptable environments to help individuals work towards their goals. In one session, you might find yourself in an aeroplane or relaxing on a beach—all within a safe, therapeutic environment.

A tailored therapy plan is made, combining VR with traditional methods. Patients can also use the VR headset between sessions with clinician guidance. The headset can collect data on progress, which can be shared with both patients and referring clinicians.
