Liz Powers been a Licensed Physical Therapist since 1999. She has owned several private practices focusing on spinal injury, including low back problems, neck problems, head injury, orthopedics, scoliosis, spinal fractures, compression fractures, bone spurs, and sports injuries. Liz also has worked extensively with patients in hospitals and long-term care facilities, including patients with neurological conditions such as strokes, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, Gillain-Barre, seizure disorder, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome; patients with various types of cancer; and patients with cardiac conditions.
Liz has had training in many manual therapies, and prior to becoming licensed as a Physical Therapist, worked as a massage therapist. She is a Craniosacral Therapist as well, training directly under Dr. John Upledger. “My passions are neurological conditions and head injuries. I also love orthopedics, low back injuries, and neck injuries.” Liz is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, and had her own practice doing Canine Physical Therapy called Power Dog, which was located in Northampton, Massachusetts. She was also previously licensed in New Mexico and Arizona. Liz is originally from Colorado, is an avid downhill skier, and loves all sports. Liz is currently a Licensed Physical Therapist in the states of Massachusetts, Colorado, and Florida.
